Here it is!!!
I love my green, white and black mantle! It is VERY different from years past.
A few years ago THIS mantle was featured on Better Homes and Gardens.
I have LOVED using RED in the past! I haven’t thrown out Red 100%… it’s happening in my basement and the color scheme of the kids Christmas tree… But that is for another upcoming post 🙂
This year, upstairs I wanted a more fresh, clean look!
I’m loving the chalkboard craze, happening right now, so I wanted to use that as some of my theme for this year.
I have lots more pictures to post, so you’ll see how the chalkboard theme fits all together.
Last year, I saw THIS awesome picture floating around Pinterest, As always…bloggers have the most AMAZING ideas!
I knew I just HAD to use this fun chalkboard idea on this year’s mantle,
so I asked my friend and designer Ashley to help me out. See more of her amazing
talent in her Etsy shop!
We went through several fonts for the Merry Christmas before she found this perfect one!
I found the wreath HERE at Target
The green striped stockings also came from Target
The white velvet ones came from Pottery Barn
The stocking metal holders Birch Lane
I then ordered our names in white Vinyl on Etsy
With a little bit of Black and White striped ribbon, the look was complete!
The Bannister has also changed A LOT!!!
HERE is mine a few years back and here it is TODAY!
I wanted to match the look of the Christmas Tree, so I used all the same elements.
I repeated the ribbon and ornaments. Simple but elegant.
I also added sprigs of frosted leaves. Something you would see in the spring to freshen up the
look of the flocked pine!

Beautiful!! Would you mind sharing where you got your stocking holders? They are great. Also, what do you use to write on them? Thanks.

How did you hang your wreath on the chalkboard without damaging the board?
