Merry Christmas friends! I don’t know what it is about the Holidays, but I find myself wanting to be in the kitchen baking yummy treats! I love the warmth of the oven, and all the festive smells that surround Christmas. As a decorator, having a kitchen all decked out for the season is very fitting. Along side my love for decorating would have to be food and fashion.
My theme for this year’s kitchen shelves was all about Santa’s Bakery. Santa’s Milk and Cookies, a red gingham rolling pin, and a set of festive-colored bowls waiting and ready to whip up some Christmas’s cookies.
Whenever I am in the kitchen fussing over yummy treats or a hearty winter meal for my family, a glance at these shelves always puts a smile on my face:)
Now Onto the Cocoa Bar!
In our home, the Cocoa Bar is a VERY big deal! It has become a family tradition not only for Christmas, but it extends all the way through February! We have a tradition of collecting mugs. Each child has their own and it seems to be a trend to pick one or two up whenever we travel. Each person in the family also has their personal favorite cocoa flavor that we take turns filling the jar with. When the first snow falls, the cocoa bar comes out. Once Christmas is over, this bar will transform into a Winter/Valentine’s Cocoa Bar. The fun continues all winter season long. We seriously love hot cocoa!
