During the building process, the decisions were endless! But there was one decision that was easy and really important to me, and that was to have beautiful door knobs and hardware that I would admire and use every single day. Deep down, I knew I had to have something special in my new home. After a lot of research and shopping, I decided on Baldwin Hardware. The metal colors, the design selections, and the quality blew me away! Baldwin Hardware had everything I hoped for and more; it is honestly breathtaking to look at! I knew hardware can most definitely be an investment, but it is also something that will stand the test of time so it was worth it. I wanted a traditional style that would that would be timeless, so I ended up choosing the 5068 Estate Knob paired with the large R028 Bethpage Rose
Using beautiful creations from Baldwin Hardware can transform a basic door into a work of art! The Before and After really is AMAZING!!!

The Before and After of the Laundry Room door are some of my favorite pictures!

Baldwin also offers hinges that match the door hardware perfectly, and boy are these hinges beautiful and high quality! You can really feel the craftsmanship that was put into these!
When selecting door knobs for your house, the look and design is always most important, but also just as important is to determine the type of knob function you need for each door. Here is a list I have in my own home:
Passage – These knobs don’t lock, but have a latch to turn the knobs. I placed these in rooms where I didn’t need a lock. For example: my mudroom closet and coat closets.
Dummy – These knobs that don’t turn. A single dummy is used on one side. I used these on my kids closet doors. A double dummy is used on both sides of the door. I used double dummy knobs on my front door as well as my French doors in the back. On my front door, the left door knob functions as a normal door knob that turns to open, but the right side is a stationary knob and is just there to look pretty.
Privacy – These knobs lock and are used in bathrooms, bedrooms, and any other room that you want to lock. I have have these mostly for bathrooms and some bedrooms.
I couldn’t be more pleased with Baldwin and I encourage anyone reading this to head over to Baldwin’s Website. They offer so many creations to choose from. Next up is my entry hardware. I’ll be sharing that really soon!
