OK, so I admit … I am STILL painting my kitchen! I started and stopped a few times wondering if I was painting the right color. I finally decided to roll with one color and just see what I thought.
So far I like it; the only problem is the gray color on the swatch turned out to be more blue on the wall. Adjusting to blue is as hard as adjusting away from red. I think it will take sometime to get use to.
During parts of the day it’s REALLY gray and then other times it’s more blue!
Here is a picture from Saturday.
I didn’t paint the baseboard or the top of the crown because we are going to thicken both up!
So…What do you think???
The color is SW 6233 Samovar Silver
I have been thinking about painting my Table and Chairs cream with a glaze.
I am excited for the potential this color will bring to the space!!!
I still have a second coat to do,
butI first need to live around it a few more days until I KNOW the color will be a winner!!!
OH I REALLY like this color. It's so soothing and bluish gray is a great neutral to work with when accessorizing. If it was feeling a little too dull during the times of day it looks more gray, you could easily put up some punchy artwork or curtains to combat that.

I think it's gorgeous! I'm sure that if it's not quite what you were thinking that it would be hard to get used to…but as a totally unbiased opinion…it's beautiful.

I think this is a great colour! I recently went to a grey/blue colour also, and while it took some getting used to, I love it-the perfect classic, neutral backdrop!

Excellent choice! Do not despair! I also like the idea of painting the dining room table & chairs a cream. Where did you get that darling checked rug in your bathroom? I want one! ♥

I think it's beautiful, however, I do understand if it doesn't reflect the color you thought it would. Just hang in and see how it feels after awhile. Perhaps the second coat would enhance the grayish??? Adding window treatments and decor will give a different look too.
Painting the dining set would be gorgeous. I know the room will look stunning once you have finished it.

I'm actually trying to do something similar in my master bath right now (which has halted becuase it's back to school time) and it looked really smokey, greenish-blue but mostly gray…the dang thing is baby blue on my wall! My husband keeps insisting that it didn't really come out of that can. Well that is my experience with any paint that is even close to "blue" it is blue. But yours is looking less blue than mine so I'm might have to head over to SW.

Very pretty…I think I would keep the chairs black, paint the table top cream and add some yummy fabric cushions to those chairs that incorportes the gray, blue AND red to really make the space pop. Look forward to seeing the finished product
