This past May, I had the honor of doing another wedding! One of my favorite things to do! As my nieces and nephews are getting older, it seems like it’s the going trend for their Aunt Heidi to be involved in their big day, and I can’t be more happy to help:)
My niece Lauren was a Dream Bride to work with! She knew what she wanted and was very much involved, but trusted me with the nitty gritty details of her big day. I think I have said this a million times, it must be my mantra, “The magic is in the details,” and it takes a lot of time and brain power to work through ALL THE DETAILS!!!
The wedding theme was Dusty Blue, and Silver. The feeling we were going for was formal, grand, elegant and sophisticated, but also simple and fresh. I might be a bit bias, but Lauren and her new husband Dawson really had a special day. The whole event had such a special feeling. We even had a little spring rain to make everything feel fresh and very romantic!
Ok, now onto the fun details of the wedding! I had the blessing of working with a few of my favorite people and close friends.
First is Heather, her floral company is Flora Jean Flowers.
Heather is beyond talented in her skill. She is so awesome to work with! So patient, so kind and takes the time to really map out the master plan of the whole event. She brought to life my vision of a HUGE floral wreath as the center piece of the room! It was better than I could have imagined, and it filled the room with this most amazing floral smell . It was magical! It was as if Heather was able to crawl inside my mind, see my vision and execute it perfectly. PURE MAGIC. All the florals were breathtaking!
My good friend, and fellow dance mom Julie, did the Wedding Cake.

The only way to explain Julie’s cakes are PERFECT!!! Everything about them! The flavor, the attention to detail. I honestly love everything she creates! We wanted this cake to be super simple but also youthful and fun. I think the layer of dusty blue really makes the cake come alive!
The amazing, talented photographer is Nicole Maxfield.
She’s adorable and a close family friend. The pre-bridals were out of this world! They were photographed in a grove full of blossoms, seriously incredible! You can find more details of this event and where I purchased all the decor on my Instagram page HOME BY HEIDI check my wedding highlights in my Stories and also at the bottom of this post for all the links for all the wedding decor.
